Before booking the initial lesson parents and/or guardians must confirm that they have read and agreed to the terms of conditions of service.
· All lessons will take place online
· Parents/guardians will receive a link to provide access to the lesson.
· Both tutors and students are expected to have their cameras on at all times during the lesson.
· Tutors will have to right to prematurely end a lesson if a safeguarding issue arises. In this scenario invoices raised will be on a case by case basis.
· Tutors will have the responsibility to report any safeguarding issues.
· Tutors will have the right to end a lesson prematurely, if a behavioural issue arises. Such lessons will be invoiced fully.
· It is expected that the parents/guardians/students will keep the tutor informed of which subjects and topics are to be taught. We request that at least 48 hours’ notice be given to allow for planning.
· Parents can request a ‘Parents Meeting’, with the tutor. A mutually convenient time will be arranged.
· It is expected that for students under the age of 18 a parent or guardian will be present in their home/place of study, for the duration of the lesson.
· A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required if you are unable to attend the lesson. In which case there will be no monies payable.
· If a lesson is cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice a cancellation fee of 50% of the full lessons fee will be charged.
· If a parent/guardian cancels lessons with less than 48 hours’ notice, twice, full payment will be requested at the time of booking further lessons.
· If a student arrives late to a lesson, the lesson will still finish within the scheduled time slot.
· If a student is more than 5 minutes late then a reminder email will be sent to the parents/guardians.
· Tutors will wait for a period of 15 minutes for a client to attend the lesson. In the event of a ‘no show’ a full charge will be made for the lesson.
· In the event of any issues with the Tutor not attending the lesson on time, the tutor will notify the parent/guardian and the lesson time lost will be made up at a mutually agreed time.
· With group tuition the lessons will start on time regardless of whether a member of the group has not arrived. This way those students in attendance are not disadvantaged.
· If payments for lesson have been made in advance and the parent/guardian wishes to cancel the bookings and 48 hours’ notice is given, a full refund will be made.
All contact with the tutor can be made via Contact@Biologytutor111.co.uk
· All booked lessons will continue until both the tutor and the parent/guardian agree a termination date. Both parties have a right to terminate the agreement at any time.
· If a parent/guardian decides to terminate midway through a block booking, full payment will be calculated at the rate of individual lessons booked, for the lessons already taught. Any surplus monies will be refunded.
· Whereas every effort will be made to ensure clients progress in a satisfactory manner, this cannot be guaranteed by Biologytutor111.co.uk. As such any tutors working on behalf of Biologytutor111.co.uk cannot be held accountable for the academic outcomes or otherwise for their clients.
· To the maximum extent, permitted by law the tutor accepts no liability for any direct or indirect loss or damage, foreseeable or otherwise, including any indirect, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising from the use of the tutors services or any errors, or omissions in the contents of the tutors learning materials.
· Names of students and parents and guardians will be held.
· The age group and year of school of the student will be kept.
· Parent/guardian contact details will be kept.
· All other information mutually agreed to be considered relevant to private tuition will be kept.
· Parent/guardian/student personal information will not be passed to any third parties without explicit consent, unless there is a legal requirement to do so.
· Unless directed otherwise by the parent/guardian, student details will be held on file for a period of 1 academic year.
· Financial data will be held for 7 years for tax purposes.
If the parent/guardian books lessons, this will be deemed an agreement and acceptance of these terms and conditions.
