Safeguarding is a word that is used in the United Kingdom and Ireland that covers measures taken to protect the health, wellbeing and human rights of individuals so that people, particularly children, young people and vulnerable adults can live free of abuse, harm and neglect.
KCSIE states, ‘Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone’s responsibility. Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families and carers has a role to play in safeguarding children. In order to fulfil this responsibility effectively, all professionals should make sure their approach is child-centered. This means that they should consider, at all times, what is in the best interests of the child’.
Safeguarding applies to all individuals under the age of 18.
Our tutors hold valid DBS certificates.
Many pupils in England had online lessons during the COVID-19 lockdown. These lessons were recorded for safeguarding purposes. In line with this practice, we also record all online sessions to ensure the safety of all our clients. These will be held on file for a minimum period of 12 months after our work with a client ends.
